Life After Death: A brief musing on the journey from Scorpio to Sagittarius.

It takes faith to fly towards the sun and it takes intense focus to actually hit ones target. Scorpio energy is the singular focus inherent in desire but Sagittarius energy is the actual fulfillment of that desire. Scorpio energy is in pain and at a point of crisis because it is intense desire without fulfillment.

Scorpio is hungry and yearning, like a child screaming in the dark. How long has it been in the dark? To a child, it would feel like a lifetime, a lifetime of waiting for someone to comfort & rescue it. Scorpio energy attaches to anything pleasurable outside of itself in search of release. The brief surrender towards paradise, Scorpio energy fumbles towards paradise in the dark but it only finds the blind leading the blind.

Eventually, there is sight to be found in the dark , buried inside those blind delights is the responsibility of occult knowledge. Occult knowledge is forged by an inner knowing of one’s own Godhood that says that “I” alone am responsible for my own happiness. It is that hungry child realizing that no one is coming to save it from that dark room and deciding to do something about it. Will you get up and feed yourself? Or will you live your entire life crying out in hunger, searching for release from pressure in all the wrong places?

Sagittarius energy determines that it may die if it ventures out into the wild unknown in order to feed itself but it also figures that it is as good as dead if it doesn’t get up to feed itself. Scorpio energy is akin to an existential crisis because it represents the crucial moment before you take that leap of faith, your life flashing before your eyes. At this point of crisis, Scorpio must look to its opposite sign Taurus to determine what holds the most value in its life. Making these value judgements will help Scorpio to eliminate that which no longer has any life force. The elimination of “dead weight” also serves to lighten Scorpio’s load in preparation for making the much desired leap of faith.

Sagittarius energy having already survived the existential crisis of Scorpio, looks death in the face and takes that leap of faith. The wisdom of Sagittarius comes from knowing that whether it flies or falls, it is already dead by virtue of it having shed it’s old skin to become a brand new person by eliminating its past baggage.
